Epic Road Trip (Episode 7) - Trang: The best kept secret

Time for another FLASHBACK! (I promise we are nearing the end of this whole flashback thingy).

After the last Epic Road Trip, I did a few solo ride to Thailand, but this time, I'm taking a friend. You might of seen him from Epic Road Trip (Episode 1). It's been years and now we are riding again. It was his first time crossing border on a bike.

As usual, we began our journey around 4am from R&R Rawang, shooting northwards. It was a clear night except slight fogging when we entered Perak.

Regular second fuel stop at R&R Sg Perak

We continued our journey and managed to cross the border around 8am. Not a lot of people so everything was smooth. We proceed straight to Trang without stopping by at Dannok for breakfast.

The journey was 'drama-less' except along highway 4, Imran signalled me to stop to fix his helmet. It was a quick fix and we were off on our way again.

When we reached Patthalung, we took the exit which takes us to Trang. A few minutes after the exit, we stopped by at the local petrol station for fuel.

After finished fueling, we continued. Below are some on board shots heading to Trang

For this journey, Imran pre-booked the hotel for us. So, once we reached Trang, I let him lead. However, either something was wrong with the coordinates or with his GPS (phone), we ended up in a rubber plantation with a few kampung houses :P

I was kinda puzzled to see kampung houses. I told Imran, "Doc, are you sure we weren't conned? Hahahaha". We then decided to return back to the main road and ask for direction. We stopped by at a petrol station where we met this police officer and he showed us the way. Apparently the hotel was only 2km away from the station. We weren't lost anymore and now we can take our long overdue shower. ahahahaha :P

Our hotel was called 'Thapap Resort' and this was the first time I met my friend, Meiy.
After checking in and showered, we asked Meiy for direction to the local Muslim restaurant. She pointed us to a restaurant located at the city center near the railway station.

Imran was so happy to see food :P

We had a nice and filling lunch. We then decided what to do next. One of the highlight of our trip was to go to this one beach where we would pass a pine forest to get there.

We took pictures at the Trang Railway Station

This time, Imran's GPS was right on track. We arrived at the beach and here are some of the photos. Enjoy! :)

We return to the hotel and rested. Tomorrow morning, we were off to Dannok to spend a night there.

We had our lunch at the famous Lake View Restaurant

No drama here. Everything went according to plan. We rode home to KL the next day. Another Epic Road Trip done. Yaaayyy!

Till next time :)
